Klopp deserves plaudits for Dortmund dominance

One of the recent phenomena in German football has been the explosion of young coaches in the Bundesliga over the past years.

The average age of the 18 Bundesliga coaches is just over 48-years-old and huge strides have been taken by the two main German governing bodies, Deutsche Fussballliga (DFL) and DeutscherFussball Bund (DFB), to increase the number of young coaches in the professional game.

Jurgen Klopp has been one of those to burst on to the scene in the last few seasons, as the 43-year-old masterminded Borussia Dortmund’s first Bundesliga championship in nine years.  Even more remarkably, Klopp secured the title after what has been a turbulent time in Dortmund’s recent history, with major problems on and off the park.”
